My Journey
Josh Muller
Hi, I’m Josh
My journey as a therapist started at the age of 8. Growing up in a middle-class Jewish family I witnessed first hand the effects of stress on the body. My father carried the burden of supporting a family of five on his shoulders, or more acutely IN his shoulders. One Friday night, I was suddenly drawn to massaging my father’s shoulders. It felt so natural. And so, a deep sense of purpose in the power of touch was ignited within me.

I spent my early adult years pursuing a career in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competing for the largest promotion on the continent (EFC). I studied sports massage therapy, anatomy & physiology and exercise science. And in 2014, at the age of 23, I turned my lifelong passion for massage into my first clinical practice, where I offered sports massage therapy and personal training.

A few years later I found myself with a home, a loving and supportive fiancé, a thriving practice and no joy in my life yet again. After 30 years it finally occurred to me that the reason I was unhappy had very little to do with my external circumstances but rather something deeper within me.
I would later hear a phrase from my mentor Gabor Maté that perfectly encapsulates where I was in my journey…

My Approach
Through a variety of modalities, that include talk therapy, guided breathwork and bodywork, I began working through the layers of my own trauma. And as I began to heal myself I began to engage more with my work, developing a holistic approach to mental and physical wellness.
The approach I have developed over my 10 years of clinical experience combines formal training with all aspects of healing that have helped bring me closer to wholeness.
The Full Magic
(A combination of any or all of these modalities)
I hope to share all my learnings with you in support of your own healing journey. To help you create a space for yourself and your own healing. A space to breathe. To reconnect to your body.
